The Artichoke opened in August 2002, offering an inspired alternative to dining within the old town of Amersham. The modern European cuisine has developed over the years with an emphasis on the organic, free range, and the array of 'natural culinary treasure' - berries, herbs and fungi that can be foraged from our hedgerows, forests, and seashores.
Laurie has gained invaluable experience and inspiration working with other professionals, most recently with Rene Redzepi at the 2 Star, Noma, Copenhagen. With a newly renovated kitchen now in place, Laurie and his team are working on innovated techniques to enhance flavours, preserve texture and the vibrant colours of Mother Nature and we are delighted to present our new autumn into winter series of menus.
